Dear Members,

Since arriving at the Milwaukee Art Museum, one of my greatest joys has been meeting so many of you in the galleries. Thank you for the incredibly warm welcome. It has been wonderful to experience firsthand the enthusiasm, curiosity, and pride that our Members bring to this community.

That spirit is exactly why the theme of this issue is “We Love Our Members.” Your support at every level sustains the Museum and signals something meaningful: a desire for a deeper connection to art, artists, and ideas. Membership is more than free admission. It’s an invitation to engage more closely with the collection, explore exhibitions, and enjoy special access to curators, artists, and programs.

May is Member Month, when we celebrate you with extra benefits—from guest passes and double discounts to Members-only tours. You’ll find a new Member Guide in this issue highlighting signature programs from MAM After Dark and docent tours to family experiences. All these offerings are designed to help you make the most of your membership and discover something new each time you visit.

As a Member, you’ll also be among the first to experience two upcoming exhibitions. Currents 40: Widline Cadet presents a powerful contemporary voice whose work connects with the Museum’s renowned Haitian art collection. Seeking Revelation explores how artists turned to nature, spirituality, and personal journeys in their search for meaning, drawing from the Museum’s exceptional holdings of German Romantic works on paper.

You’ll also find a behind-the-scenes look at the conservation of remarkable Renaissance clocks. This is just one example of how the Museum continues to care for the extraordinary objects entrusted to us.

Thank you for being part of this Museum. I look forward to seeing you in the galleries—again and again!

Warmly,

Kim Sajet
