Art, music, food, and fun. More than an art festival, Lakefront Festival of Art is a can’t-miss celebration of creativity in all forms. Not only are more artists bringing their one-of-a-kind art for you to discover and buy, but a stage at the center of it all will feature music and dancing by local acts. Curated by Radio Milwaukee, the robust performance lineup includes Evan Christian, Danceworks, and Maximiano.
And after 60 summers of holding the event, we know many have made it an annual tradition to mark Father’s Day at LFOA. This year, we’ve added the family-friendly Kids’ Disco with Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori on Sunday and a beer tasting that the father figure in your life is sure to enjoy.

LFOA Artist: Emma Daisy
New to Lakefront Festival of Art this summer is Milwaukee artist Emma Daisy. She has a mural, Westown in Bloom, at 622 W. Wisconsin Avenue and describes the city as having “a unique creative energy” with a “deeply collaborative and supportive” artist community. Daisy brought her signature vibrant colors and florals to this year’s LFOA poster design.
‟I love to play with color! It has the power to stir emotion and create an instant connection. As a Korean adoptee, I’m drawn to symbols that explore belonging and identity, and for me, flowers represent resilience, transformation, and the beauty found in impermanence. Through my figurative work, as well, I want to express the complex intersections of cultural heritage, human connection, and personal history.”
Photographs from throughout the years follow below. All are from the Museum’s archive unless otherwise noted.
