Many Museum visitors make art on the weekends in the Kohl’s Art Studio. Did you know the studio also travels to surrounding Milwaukee communities, spreading the joy that comes from making art? Since its inception in 2009, the roving program has welcomed more than 730,000 people of all ages for creative play at 1,030 events across the city.
Throughout the next three months, the studio’s colorful van will visit roughly 40 gatherings, from the Juneteenth Day Festival and Mexican Fiesta to mobile pantry events coordinated by Metcalfe Park Community Bridges. Join us as we try out materials and techniques inspired by artworks in the Museum’s exhibitions and collection.
