Happy Holidays to you and yours!
As indoor activities become more important, the Milwaukee Art Museum reminds you that children 12 and under are FREE everyday at the Museum. See below for a complete list of holiday hours.
With winter break looming, there are several exciting things to see at the Museum, including the newest exhibition Framing a Decade, and the vibrant feature exhibition European Design Since 1985, which closes January 9, 2011. Families can also experience the remembrances of childhood with the display of Robert Therrien’s larger-than-life Under the Table, installed in Windhover Hall.
For the interactive side, kids and their families can experience art and creativity by enjoying a variety of hands-on art activities. The Kohl’s Art Generation Studio will be open every day of the week during the holiday break for a chance to create art inspired by the Museum’s exhibitions and Collection with projects that change weekly. There is also a 3-D Gallery with photography, drawings, videos, costumes, and more.
It can’t be said enough: Kids under 12 are FREE. What a great chance to bring your loved ones to experience amazing architecture, world-class art, and interactive activities.
The Museum will be open Friday, December 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed Saturday, December 25. The Museum will reopen Sunday, December 26 and stay open through the rest of 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., (8 p.m. on Thursday, December 30).
